Now In Operation
The MOCA at The Geffen Contemporary Art-o-mat is now up and running.
Mary Burt and Clark Whittington in L.A.
The machine is the first thing you see when you walk into the door, that is, if you look to your right just a bit. Mary Burt (pictured) is very happy to have the machine in the museum and we could not ask for a better host/host venue.

The Geffen Contemporary is a great place to view art. The space is clean and comfortable. It is located in Little Tokyo where you can buy mochi and incredible food.

Elle-Cee (an Art-o-mat artist who recently moved to L.A) was finally able to see her work in a machine. It was nice to see her after 2 years.
During the installation, 2 South African artists and 1 Brazillian artist expressed interest in making work for the project. Hope they do. It would be nice for the Art-o-mat to have artists from 9 countires.....hint, hint......

Signed, Sealed & Delivered
During Winston-Salem's recent gallery hop, art patrons were invited to sign their name on the crate of our first west coast machine. This vintage 1950's National Vendor will find it's new home at The Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA) in L.A.! It'll be at the building: MOCA at The Geffen Contemporary (152 North Central, Los Angeles, California).

Jamie, Susan and Mark were just a few of the many people wishing our machine a happy and safe trip. It will be operational on June 22nd.

Machine Update!
Chicago

The new Chicago Art-o-mat has been installed. Gina Gartner (Arts Council Beaufort County) and I presented the machine to the Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs on May 22nd. It was well received by local artists attending the opening. The machine is presently in the Cultural Center at 78 E. Washington St. Click here for a closer look at the machine >>>

The Hickory Museum of Art became an Art-o-mat host on May 30th. Delivering the machine was my first visit to this museum. It is very nice and is in a modified 1940's high school. Their machine is placed in the entrance of the gift shop, which sells art & glassware from the east coast. This place is worth a visit.

The Northampton, MA Art-o-mat will be shipped to Faces of the Earth soon. The silver machine on wheels is presently on display at Mary's of Course Cafe (the home of the original Art-o-mat). Mary recently told me that some dude came in and became bent out when he realized that the original Arto did not sell cigs. After 5 years...it still happens.

Welcome new artists!
Nicky Deeley (New Zealand), Guy Boutin (Montreal), Brenda Wright (Suffolk, VA), Alex Khost (NYC), Matthew Anderson (Pooler, GA), Drunnell & Okey (NYC), John Gall (High Point, NC), Gina Fuentes Walker (NYC), Nathan Kuma (Krofrofrom, Ghana) and Mollie Brown (NYC) recently delivered work. We are honored to have them on board!

The New Museum machine was pictured in the May 16th issue of Time Out NY. We were featured in a story about vending machines in NYC.
