Art*o*mat 5th Anniversary Swap Meet Photos!

Swap Notes.

The Art-o-mat 5th Anniversary Swap Meet held Saturday October 12th at Mary's Of Course Cafe was a humble big success. 31 artists from across the country were able to meet each other and buy/sell/trade their works. This was a very special experience. Most Art-o-artists have never met others involved in the project. Everyone was very excited as our project attracts a similar disposition. All involved realize that art is about life/expression and that the Art-o-mat has benefits that go far beyond the vend.

If someone had told me 5 years ago that I would be meeting and representing artists from around the world through retired cigarette vending machines, I would have accused them of being on dope. It is still hard for me to comprehend and each day suprises me more. I am honored to know the 280 artists involved and give them full credit for the success of the project to date.

A sincere thanks goes out to all who have produced work or have supported the project since 1997. Another thanks to all of the artists who particiated in this event. Another x10 thanks to Mick Scott for pulling it all together.

Norwegian, anyone?
Check out this article from Norway from August 27th...anybody fluent out there?

"NIKOTIN. Men kunst?
