hosting an art-o-mat machine

All Art-o-mat® machines are sponsored by arts organizations and/or individual patrons of the arts who share our vision of bringing the work of living artists to their communities.

Artists in Cellophane does not receive direct national/local grants or funding. Each machine is custom prepared by AIC staff and/or participating AIC artists for the specific needs of our host venues. There is an initial hosting fee which covers fabrication and delivery of a machine, the initial supply of Art-o-mat® art and on site operational training. Also included in the initial set up is a slide talk and workshop which is designed to invite local artists to be involved in our project.

The Art-o-mat should be viewed as an art installation which pays for itself over time in many ways. However, our project should not be viewed as or compared to contemporary retail/industry.

• Information about your venue. Please specify if it is a museum, gallery, community space, boutique shop, etc.

• Your view on how a machine would be an appropriate fit within your operations, mission, community public relations, etc.

• Complete contact information. This should consist of full name, full venue name, address, telephone number, email address and website links.
