Hope spring is treating you well.

2017 marks the 20th Anniversary of Art-o-mat and the AIC studio is buzzing with activity. We have two events coming up.

On April 20th, our retrospective exhibit will open at the Southeastern Center for Contemporary Art. About ten Art-o-mat machines of significance will be on display next to many small works from our permanent collection. The final count will be decided by the curators at SECCA. But, we have given them 1808 pieces to choose from with some works dating back to the first days of our project. This collection is rarely exhibited. The show will be up through the summer.

In conjunction with the above, we will have a gathering of participating artists on June 10th. This event, termed a “Swap Meet“, is the perfect opportunity to meet the artists who help keep our machine network supplied with their wonderful ideas. Past, former and current Art-o-mat artists are invited (and encouraged) to set up a table for the afternoon. Participants should RSVP to studio@artomat.org soon.
